The Journey

The journey of woman from girl-child to wise-woman has been one of the most challenging a being can take over the last few thousand years. This course is about honouring the power (life force) and unique Medicine within each woman and helping to reclaim the power that has been lost or forgotten. The Journey we take will be a journey of Soul Retrieval, of Recapitulation, of Dreaming, of Celebration and of deep connection to the Earth. Through the course of our lives, through trauma, social expectations and mythologies we form our energy into habits and patterns and give away our power – the downside. The upside is that through the challenges and with the help of allies i.e. people, situations and our connection to nature, we learn about our strengths. We will take an ancient road of teachings and initiation, working with the earth and the elements, your own strength, ritual and ceremony to awaken your own depth of stillness and wild nature, your true nature.

To be still is to have relief from the incessant ramblings (and sometimes harassment) of the mind, to be able to be aware of the observer within us, the greater consciousness - the part of us that experiences / witnesses life. In this stillness is peace, an awareness that all is as it is. From this state emerges inspiration (to be in spirit), insight.

To be wild is to be natural, unobstructed by external influences, guided by our own instincts .To be wild is to allow the cosmic energies to flow through oneself, a masterpiece created by spirit, the greater consciousness. We invite a space to explore and release your own unique & collective expression of spirit.

Parenting and the influence of siblings and society is sometimes more than just guidance and often results in suppression of our natural development, of our true expression. This can lead to a loss of our vital force, our life force, a disconnection from our innocence / inner sense of our selves and the universe. We will visit the child and help her to re-member herself. We will work together with compassion & truth to allow the child in you to re-member her trust (in herself & life), her innocence and her ability to allow her emotions (energy in motion) to flow through her. We will explore how you have been tamed and your desire for expansion, adventure and freedom.

As we seek expansion the energy of adolescence rises – the rising of our sexuality and passion, the desire for individualism, our break from dependency – a natural rising to experience the life we have come into with all of our senses. How does this chaotic wild energy fit into a stifled society and what effect has our early childhood had on our ability to trust its expression? We will invite your adolescent energy to jump into the fires of chaos and emerge into the……

The power of logic and scientific materialism has denied the power of the dreamer, of inner knowing, of intuition (the inner tutor), the place of the deep feminine, the Great Mother. Through our motherhood (our wombs) we are intimately connected to the web of life. Women, during their moontime were the dreamers/visioners for the community. The Earth Mother gives birth a thousand times and so do we, either consciously or unconsciously. We will enter into the Dreamtime and learn how we dream and manifest the Great Mother energy. You will see yourself reflected in the great Dreaming Consciousness.

As we ripen as mature women we face the dilemma of being washed up and past it or an enchanting woman of experience and sensuality – a woman who knows the taste of her being, her emotions, her growing wisdom, her sexuality and sensuality. You will be invited to step into the dance of the enchantress within you.

All meetings are fully residential, with meals and refreshments.
